Extra Effort Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning takes pride in our long-standing reputation of excellence! When cleaning carpet & upholstery, we treat your home and your possessions with the care we would afford our own. No matter how large or small the job, we trust our professional technicians to:

Inspect your home or office and address questions & concerns.
Move all furniture that can be moved safely and within reason.
Vacuum the carpet edge to edge around the baseboards. (This process removes a great deal of dirt, dust and pet hair and facilitates the efficiency of the cleaning)
Clean carpet and upholstery with safe, effective products with special attention given to pet stains, food spots and heavily soiled areas.
Move furniture back in place and place it on pads or blocks.

Our cleaning methods are designed to remove the toughest of stains while keeping your carpet protected:

Extra Effort’s cleaning method is based on hot water extraction. Our equipment is designed to provide the ultimate in cleaning power without over wetting the area. The system is also designed to keep the temperature of the water at a safe level in order to prevent damage to the fibers of the carpet and upholstery being cleaned.
Extra Effort has portable extractors with truck mount power that can be moved anywhere. We are experts in cleaning high rise office buildings and condominiums.
Extra Effort uses DuPont Teflon to protect all the carpets we clean because it is both safe and effective. DuPont Teflon repels liquid spills, dust and dirt allowing carpets to remain cleaner longer.

The cleaning product Extra Effort uses neutralizes the carpet fiber to a neutral PH. This technology prevents browning, wicking and re-soiling and helps carpets to dry clean and soft.

Extra Effort has been a lifesaver for the Lakota Family YMCA. Not only have they been there for our routine cleaning, their attention to detail and willingness to serve us (when we had water damage as well as Cincinnati carpet cleaning needs) is a testament to the dedication of their customer service. We just couldn’t be happier with the service that Extra Effort delivers. ~ John F. Schaller CEO Lakota Family YMCA

We have used Extra Effort Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning to clean our home for over 17 years. Extra Effort has saved us from assorted carpet emergencies including carpet cleaning, water restoration (and water damage), odor control and spot removal. They are professional, conscientious, and take the time to do the job correctly the first time. Needless to say, we are satisfied customers and would highly recommend Extra Effort. ~ Ron & Sue Magnan

I have used Extra Effort for well over a decade. Not only is their carpet cleaning second to none, but they made our old couches look like new! Unfortunately, I have needed their assistance with water damage in basements for both of the houses I have owned. No one likes water damage but, fortunately, I could rely on them to take care of everything from cleanup, coordination of other professionals needed to complete the cleanup, and even working with my insurance company. Peace of mind is essential, and dealing with disaster is frustrating; Extra Effort has taken care of me for years and I will never work with one of their competitors. I have recommended Extra Effort to all my family and friends, and to many of my colleagues. I highly recommend Extra Effort for all of your carpet, upholstery, and water damage needs! ~ Louis B. Dissel

Elliott and Brian have provided exceptional service over the past fifteen years for our family’s carpet cleaning and water restoration needs. I highly recommend them on the basis of professionalism, customer responsiveness and courtesy. It is a pleasure to work with a company that takes care of their customers in a way that is rare in today’s world! ~ Jane Schmerge

I called dozens of carpet cleaning companies for a recent ‘pet emergency.’ Elliott and his son came ASAP, charged a reasonable price, didn’t try to upsell me on anything, and our carpet looks good as new! He even followed up with me the next day. I have literally never written a review on the internet (not even Amazon). Customer Service is a lost art, and these guys nail it. ~ Colleen P.

Love the Fishmans!!! Won’t find anyone with so much knowledge and experience! Always work with my crazy, busy schedule with smiles. Highly recommend. ~ Kristin Browne

We’d been using one of the national companies to clean our carpets for years, but the service kept getting shoddier and shoddier, so we did some research and found Extra Effort. Being a local company, we thought it might be better. Boy were we right. Their name says it all – they really go the extra mile in so many ways. Our carpets have never looked better, and their attention to detail is incredibly impressive. If you’re in the Tri-State area, I HIGHLY recommend giving Extra Effort a call – you’ll be happy you did! ~ Colin

Excellent customer service and carpet cleaning! Elliott went out of his way to fit me in his schedule before a party at my house. He communicated with me throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again. ~ J. D.

My husband and I hired Extra Effort to clean our carpets prior to moving into our new home, and they were great. Elliott and Brian were polite, timely, and provided a fair price. The next time we need our carpets cleaned we will be calling Extra Effort. I would highly recommend this company. ~ Angela W.

Perfect service. They are the absolute epitome of professionalism. Highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. ~ Tyler N.
